In general, love covers the concepts such as ‘’To love something, to be devoted to the thing you love with addiction, passion, to be delighted with it, to enjoy and take pleasure from it’’...

We frequently come across to phrases like ‘’I love the way she/he smiles’’, ‘’I love driving’’, ‘’I love the western music’’.

On the other hand to make something loved, becomes the means of sharing it with the friends. ‘’That person has made me to love the Religion’’ or ‘’I have learned how to love from him/her’’... These expressions are a very good example for this.

Most of the time to like, to be fond of something is perceived as love. This is where the mistake starts.

It is not easy to pronounce the word love and live it...

The news which had taken place on July 27^th 1999 in the daily newspaper Hürriyet is showing this misunderstanding clearly.

‘’The life of the love is only thirty months.

Since a long time public opinion polls were made on this subject. As a result, it has been understood that the duration of love is only thirty months.

After thirty months there is no trace from the fast heart beats of the beginning, the overall tremble, and the trembling of the hands from excitement.

Ciny Hazan, one of the professors belonging to the University of New York, has conducted researches in thirty seven countries; as a result he has found out that the true love could last only for thirty months. The research had covered five thousand people from thirty seven countries. The results have showed that even the most passionate love came to an end after thirty months. However, the lovers extended this period because of reasons such as marriage, children etc.

After thirty months only very few people could turn the fresh love into a strong relationship. The same research has also made it clear that men could fall in love faster than women, but the women were faster to end up a relation.’’

For us, the data which is put forth by the statistics, has no relation with the true love. Love which starts physically is bound to come to an end if it is not real, when it is vice versa, love still exists. The things that have been told above take place in the phase of liking, being only fond of another one.

Love is natural, it is not something which you can have through hard work, it is an inborn talent of the human being, the ability triggers it, starts its motion. As it is known, the talent is related to the influences which the baby in the mother’s womb has received on the 120^th day.

Love gives a form to the person, speeds him/her up, makes him/her to overcome the difficulties easily; one almost takes pleasure from the difficulties. When it is with love, life becomes more valuable. A person who is full of love has a more different look at life. The following expression of Yunus is a very good indicator of a life full of love and the resulting point of view :-

‘’I love what has been created because of the creator ‘’.....

It is not correct to think of the personal electrifications that you have as love.

The electrification (attraction) arises in the direction of the desires that the physiological body has and comes to an end in time. Afterwards, it leaves its place to repulsion. This is the reason why so many special affairs, relations, marriages live up their lives in the short or the long run. Then, love is replaced by pressure, brutal and over dominating behaviour.

Love takes a person out of the individualist behaviour, takes him far away from being only a physical body. In the spiritual sense, it saves the one who is carrying this love from the limited value judgements and the conditionings in such a way that the person himself gives up living in the direction of these judgements. Even time makes itself shorter in the case of love.

When liking continues, it leaves its place to love. From then onwards the lover becomes disappeared in the loved one. What has remained has taken the name ‘’love’’. It is possible to see similar happennings in the lives of the Sufis.

Even the look of the one who has the power of love is enough to speed up the rthyms of the dead hearts. We can see very good examples of this in the case of Mawlana and Şems, Kerem and Aslı, Leyla and Mecnun.

Mecnun was still looking for his Leyla, in spite of the fact that he had seen her. The words are not enough to express this mood.

Mawlana, in his philosophy could explain how the level of liking has turned into love with these words ‘’I was raw, then became cooked, and then I got burned’’.

To get burned means the vanishing of one’s existence.

Gabriel (a.s.) has explained the vanishing of the existence as ‘’I have burned’’.

To like or to love leads to sharing/ participation. When someone says ‘’I love’’, he feels the tender suffering that comes from it and lives with its honour till eternity.

One of the leading names of Christianity, Denys Noms is the creator of the word ‘’mysticism’’ corresponding to ‘’sufism’’ in the western languages. In his book named Divines, he is telling how one can save himself from the universe of senses. While he is doing so, he is teaching that one can be successful on this road which leads to Allah only with love. For him, there isn’t a teacher to show this road. What he wants to tell is that one can only find it with the love which is already inherent within himself.

The human being can reach the realisation that there is not a separate individual being, but the absolute, unique being is Allah, only with the help of love.

Love has become to exist through the manifestation of the quality of Power.

Similar to the planet Chiron, which makes up the potential of an individual to go to Heaven, the planet Venus manifests the existence of love. It is influential mostly on the signs of Leo an Libra as well as the other signs.

In an individual’s chart, if the planet Venus is located in the 5^th or the 7^th houses, then this influence becomes increased.

Venus is also influential when it is in the sign Pisces, when it enters the sign Virgo, it makes up a narsist, a person who is in love with himself.

Venus will be turning retrograde on the 30^th of July ’99 and will be coming direct again on September11th. During this period it is possible that you may be behaving in an erroneous way regarding the subjects of love.
