TO CHANGE...

We are a country with a young population and lots of troubles.

In our country most of the cries come from the parents. The earthquake of August 17^th

has made them become worse...

After all those troubles, the people of this country have experienced more than two thousand earthquakes together with the after shocks, and lived the pain of loosing more than fifteen thousand people...

The new earthquake with the magnitude of 5.8 centered in İzmit has again brought the lives of the people to the dimension of torcher. The parents could not go into their homes, but waited for the unknown end silently in the streets, always having in their minds the thought that there would be new additions to their existing pains and troubles. On the tv screens there were the scenes of people who had a complete past, but whose present and future have slipped away....????

The process of removing the dead bodies from the wreckage was one of the scenes which have been fixed in the memories. Also, there were the scenes of those who had been hoping to live their futures, but instead of this who had to face the tragic end, the sobs, the homeless people, the crying children, the moaning sounds, fathers who carried their children to the grave covered in the shrouds... All of these were really horrifying scenes...

Along with these, there are the Humans(!), who resist to change in spite of these facts, who still are not concerned about these tragedies...

There are the individuals who still cannot control their temperement/nature in spite of the fact that there are a lot of scenes on the tv and the press from which lessons should be taken... There are the individuals who have hidden under the labels of ‘’freedom and being contemporary’’ who live only for receiving the maximum taste from what has been offered, and to be a slave of their desires...

In addition to these there are the robbers, the plunderers, those who make illegal stocks of goods...

There are also those who close their eyes to these sad views and who keep on criticising even what they eat amidst all these pains and sufferings. There are the ones who resist the slightest change in their homes, those minds that refrain from sharing Allah’s selaam, those who push away with their hands the spiritual help, those who only laugh at the warnings...

The rotten, destroyed egos who have already forgotten about yesterday, which do not compromise in any of their demands; who have the extreme overflow of hatred and enmity in spite of the fact that the difficulties brought along by the prevailing helplessness are increasing day by day...

Under these circumstances wouldn’t it be necessary for the Humans(!) to change their basic driving forces!...

Wasn’t it possible to consider this opportunity as a mercy, as a blessing and make use of it accordingly!...

However, it does not change, the innate composition/formation cannot get transformed easily...

The below statement of Hz. Rasul of Allah is a very good example of what is being lived :-

‘’When you hear that a mountain has changed its place, believe in this; but when you hear that a person has changed his character (his nature) never believe that.’’

So, my dear friends;

This means that to change oneself is very difficult...!
