THE CLASS DISTINCTOIN

When I was recommended to buy a personal computer, I must frankly say that this idea did not sound very  pleasant for me as I am not a very talented person.

I do not know exactly why, but  it was definite that I  wasn’t able to look at this device with a friendly look.

What on earth was I going to do with a computer!  I said to myself ‘’If I have anything to write, then I can use my good old type writer’’, because   I was loving  my dear type writer deeply.

As for now, it looks as if I won’t be able to do anything if I did not have my computer.

Yes, I bought the computer;    moreover I have opened a web site of my own  to share  my thoughts,    all that I have learnt with other people.

Today,  science and technology have based our time on the screen of this device and they are saying ‘’Pay attention  and get adapted to the revolution’’.

While an individual is running towards his goal, he has to surf in the internet area and add the new information that he gets from there to his own pool of knowledge.

On the other hand, at home we are not having electricity for certain hours within the framework of an electricity saving programm.   For this reason we had to start wearing thick pullovers, one over the other while we were at home too. In addition to the savings in electricity, we started to  have some restrictions in the tap water also.

At that point I was recommended to buy a generator.

I thought about the experience that I had with the computer and as any other person with common sense would do,  I thought that it wouldn’t be logical to hesitate on this subject.

I started thinking about the ways of buying a simple generator by adjusting our budget. Moreover, I  tried to explain to the other residents in the building about the importance of the situation.

The reason why I have been telling all of these is that I am thinking that I have been transferred  to an upper class.  Of course this idea belongs only to me…

Now, while we are  talking about class distinctions I have remembered an anecdote. Let me tell you this anecdote which I have heard from the people of Erzurum(a city in the nort eastern part of Turkey) some time ago.:

‘’A train that was coming to Erzurum was out of order on the way. The conductor (the guard on the train) came to the wagon where the first class passengers were and said ‘’Dear passengers;  the train is out of order, all the roads are full of snow, our special bus will come to pick you up  and take you all to the city.’’

Then, he came to the wagon where the passengers of the second class were and said ‘’My friends, the train is out of order, please take your luggage and start going’’…

When he came to the wagon belonging to the passengers of the third class what do you think he saw???   All the passengers had already picked their luggage and they were getting off the train; when he saw this he called ‘’Hey! Where are you going, if you leave, then  who is going to push the train?…’’

I suggest you never have your seat on the third wagon of the life’s train. Otherwise you’ll have to be  pushing from the back!
